SK500EX (Extension Cord Adapter) The SK500, (the first Silver Reed electronic knitting machine), works slightly different than the other electronic models in the SK5xx and SK8xx series. Both SilverKnit and Silverlink 4 hardware was developed to support the SK5xx and SK8xx series Silver Reed electronic knitting machines. In order to include the SK500 Silver Reed electronic knitting machines, the SK500Ex (SK500EX-tension) was developed to upgrade the SK500 knitting machine to be able to use either the Silverknit or SilverLink4 hardware. Plug the SK500EX into the SilverKnit box or the SilverLink 4 box and then plug the curly cord into the SK500EX.. The green LED light now shows when the carriage is between the point cams.
