Replacement Passap needle for the Passap E6000, DuoMatic 80 and Duo 5 (Pink) Passap. These passap needles are for the 5.0 mm pitch knitting machines listed above. Please remember that when replacing any knitting machine needle (but especially the passap needle), the latch must be closed when removing it from the knitting machine. If the needle hook is damaged, use a wire cutter or plier with a wire cutter to clip off the needle head at the point where the hinge of the latch meets the needle shaft. This will prevent the bent hook from snagging the brake spring under the upper rail. If the brake spring is damaged, it has to be replaced as either the needle will not hold it's position or will be hard to move. ALSO note when inserting the new needle, the latch must be open to not damage the brake spring.
