The DesignaKnit USB converter - Made specially for DesignaKnit cables, this adapter / converter allows you to connect your 9 pin DAK cable to a USB port on your computer. Although there are many USB adapters on the market, most of them will not work with the DAK cable. This USB adapter was selected by the DesignaKnit team, includes special software and will work with your computer cable interface. Includes special USB software specifically for DesignaKnit compatibility.

Diagram: Install the software first. Plug your 9 pin cable into the 9 pin end of the adapter / converter. Remove the protective cover on the USB end of the adapter revealing the USB plug. Plug the USB end of the adapter either into the computer directly. Or plug it into the included USB extension cord and plug the extension cord into the computer.. Easy.
