This is a traditional British sweater dryer. You may have seen it in Alice Starmore's Fair Isle knitting book. Also referred to as a "jumper" board, this is a hardwood fully adjustable frame for blocking sweaters. Independent adjustment for waist, shoulders, arms and neck. Stainless steel hardware. Waist: 12"-62", shoulder: 24"-62" and arm 19"-25" circumference. The assembly collapses completely for easy storage.
There are two ways to use it. For a new sweater, dampen the sweater and then put the sweater on the assembly and adjust it to the finished dimensions give in the pattern. If you are going to wash a sweater, put the sweater on the assembly and adjust it to fit the sweater. Wash the sweater. Put the damp sweater on the assembly which is already the correct size. Let the sweater dry. The assembly stands up on its own so sweaters dry quickly.
