It is sized small through large and uses standard 4-ply yarn for the base fabric and heavier DK or Aran weight yarn for the weaving. The pattern uses includes a diagram to punch a 24 stitch punch card. Iris Bishop suggests using a sufficiently heavy weight of weaving yarn so that it really stands up from the knitted fabric to produce a rich textural fabric.
