Kumihimo Disk Kit - Intructions are in Japanese, however, the diagrams are self-explanatory. Kumihimo is a method of making decorative braids. You can use these braids for purse handles, drapery tie backs, lanyards, bracelets, necklaces and much more. Traditionally kumihimo is done using a stool-like device with a hole in the middle of the "seat" and bobbins. A fairly heavy investment. The Kumihimo Disk Kit comes with a slotted board with numbered slots. You can try it out. If you like working these wonderful braids, you can invest in the equipment. Cotton yarn is included in the kit to get you going. If you already have the equipment, tape the board to the top of the stool as a guide. When you have perfected the techniques in the Kumihimo Disk Kit, there are several books available to take you into the more advanced techniques.
