Electronic Six Color Yarn Changer: This exciting accessory allows the Computerized Controller (the box that drives the electronic knitting machine) to select the correct color yarn automatically. You don’t have to calculate when you need to press a new color button. The color changer is connected by cable to the computerized controller which sends the signal to the color changer exactly at the right moment and the correct color yarn is put into work. Easy! To have all six colors available requires the additional purchase of a 4 color tension assembly. Otherwise any four colors are available automatically. Can be set to manual use as well by pressing a button.

 

Knitter Bed Features:

Needles: The knitter bed has 200 needles set at 4.5mm pitch (also called “standard gauge”).
Stitch Patterns: Knit in two color Fair Isle, as well as Tuck stitch, Slip Stitch, Single Motifs, Knit Weaving, Punch Lace, and Plaiting. Using the ribber allows you to knit double jacquard (no strands on the back of fair isle). Double jacquard is possible in two and three colors per row. The computerized controller will also allow you input and store an additional 128 personal patterns. A catalogue of over 800 permanently available patterns is included.
Yarn: Uses fingering weight yarn, either knitting machine 4 ply or 3 ply for double jacquard.
Tools: The tool box includes a  complete set of pronged transfer tools, claw weights, pin weights, ravel cord, cleaning brush, crochet hook, screw driver, latch tool, cotton swabs, 1x1 needle selector comb, carriage lock, yarn separators, two point cams and spare needles. The tool box attaches to the machine if desired and comes with it’s own lid.
Accessories: Any accessories that fit the Studio/Silver Reed SK-840 will fit this machine.
Manual: The manual that instructs how to use the knitter bed also has the information for using the Computerized Controller.

 

Needles: The ribber bed has 200 needles set at 4.5mm pitch.
Racking: There are 10 racking positions available in full-pitch and 10 racking positions in half-pitch.
Stitch Patterns: Connect the ribber to the knitter bed and knit Ribbing patterns such as 1:1, 2:2 as well as English Rib, Swung English Rib (and variations); Tubular Knitting (socks, gloves, mittens, and more); Pin Tuck and Patterned Pin Tuck; Tuck Rib Stitch; Drive Lace; and Pile Rib (a terrycloth-like looped pile fabric).
Double Jacquard: Use the ribber for double jacquard (no strands on the back of the main bed knitting). Two and Three color Double Jacquard can be knitted in one of three double jacquard techniques: Tuck with Birds-eye effect; Tuck/Slip Jacquard; and Tuck Jacquard.
Tools: A complete set of ribber tools are included. This includes two double bed cast-on combs, weights, hanger combs, side hangers, needles selector tool, P-carriage (pile knitting) and several more small parts.
Manuals: There are two manuals for the ribber. One for the carriage and one on how to use the ribber.

Stitch Patterns: There are over 800 built-in patterns ranging from fundamental basics stitch patterns to letters of the alphabet and a wide variety of motifs for every function on the knitting machine.
Pattern Input: If you don’t see what you like, you can manually input up to 128 of your own patterns using up to three colors per row.
Variation Keys: Electronically adjust the pattern by pressing one or more variation key: reverse colors; reverse pattern; double lengthen pattern; double width the pattern; mirror image pattern; knit the pattern in double jacquard key; invert the stitch pattern; memorize a point in the pattern key.
Function Keys: Key A = repeat pattern across width of knitting; Key B = Custom isolate motifs to appear where you wish.
Memory Cartridge: A memory cartridge comes with the controller with an additional 133 stitch patterns.
Software: designaknit 7 with the Silver Link cable will run this machine.
